Readers trust Technical Adda to help with real decisions: which phone to buy, how to get a failed UPI payment back, whether a call is a scam. This policy explains how we make sure our articles deserve that trust.
Our standards in one line
Useful, accurate, up to date, honest about limits, and written for Indian readers.
How articles are researched
- Start with the reader’s question. Every article answers a real question Indian readers ask, and gives the answer early.
- Use it ourselves. Where possible, we test AI tools, apps, settings and fixes on real devices before writing. We use our own screenshots unless a source is credited.
- Check primary sources. We rely first on official sources (see “Sources we trust” below), then on reputable news and expert sources.
- Indian context. We check prices on Indian stores, test with Indian apps, banks and networks, and note Hindi or regional language support where relevant.
- Be clear about what we did not test. If we could not test something ourselves, we say so and explain where the information came from.
Fact-checking
Before publishing, every article is checked for:
- Correct steps (followed again end to end where possible)
- Correct names, prices, limits and dates
- Links that work and point to the official source
- Claims about money, security or law backed by an official or reputable source
Articles on money, payments, credit scores, scams and government services get an extra check against the latest NPCI, RBI, CERT-In or government portal information, and include a reminder to confirm with the official provider.
Sources we trust
| Topic | Preferred sources |
|---|---|
| UPI and payments | NPCI, RBI, bank and payment app help pages |
| Government services | Official .gov.in / .nic.in portals, PIB releases, DigiLocker, UIDAI |
| Cyber safety | CERT-In, cybercrime.gov.in, I4C, official police advisories |
| AI tools | The tool’s official website, pricing pages, release notes and documentation |
| Gadgets | Manufacturer spec sheets, Indian retailer listings, hands-on use |
| Careers | Official course and job listings, published industry reports |
We avoid unverified social media claims, content farms and AI-generated sources that cannot be traced to an original. When we quote a statistic, we link to where it came from.
Keeping articles updated
- Every article shows a “Last updated” date. We change it only when we make a meaningful update, not for small edits like typo fixes.
- Fast-changing articles (AI tool pricing, free offers, phone buying guides, UPI rules) are reviewed at least every 3 months, and sooner when something important changes.
- If an article becomes outdated and cannot be fixed, we update it with a clear note, redirect it to a newer guide or remove it.
Use of AI in our writing
We believe readers should know how content is made.
- We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines, first drafts, summaries, grammar and translations.
- Every article is reviewed, fact-checked, edited and approved by a human (currently Sanjeev Singh) before it is published. A human is responsible for everything on the Site.
- We do not publish AI output without review, and we do not use AI to fake hands-on testing, reviews, quotes or experiences.
- AI-generated images are labelled as such in the caption or alt text.
- Where AI played a major role in creating an article, we say so at the end of the article. The note reads: “This article was drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by Sanjeev Singh.”
Corrections policy
We make mistakes sometimes. When we do, we fix them openly.
- Report an error through our Contact page or at [email protected].
- We review every report. Factual errors are usually corrected within 3 working days.
- Minor fixes (typos, broken links, small wording changes) are made without a note.
- Significant corrections (wrong steps, wrong prices, wrong facts that could affect a decision) are noted at the end of the article: “Correction (date): We previously said X. The correct information is Y.”
- If an error could cause financial loss or a security risk, we fix it as a priority.
Affiliate and advertising independence
- Our recommendations are based on research and testing, not on commission rates.
- We include products without affiliate links when they are the better choice, and we list the downsides of products we recommend.
- Advertisers and affiliate partners cannot review, edit or approve our articles before publication.
- Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labelled “Sponsored”.
- Ads are visually separate from our content.
Details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Reviews and comparisons
- We explain how we tested and for how long.
- We state when a product was provided free by a brand.
- Rankings in buying guides reflect value for Indian buyers at the stated budget.
- We update or remove recommendations when a product is discontinued or a better option appears.
Independence and conflicts of interest
If the author has a personal or financial connection to a company or product in an article (beyond normal affiliate links), we disclose it in that article.
